Nightmares and Nocturnes

"Nightmares and Nocturnes" by 'olivieblake', is definitely a fan fiction that you must read, whether you love Dramione like I do or not.

The summary provided by the author may be short, but it is to the point. Every chapter, every scene is so well-written that I literally couldn't stop reading until I finished that 31st chapter. Each chapter reveals something new that makes the past more clear, and the threads are so intricately linked to make one amazing story. The author has this way with words which makes the story so much better. The fairytales or stories that are told within this fan fiction are so well-chosen and altered beautifully to fit the context of this fan fiction.

REVIEW (Spoiler Alert): I loved every moment of the story. I loved the story of 'The Day Boy and the Night Girl' and how well the author wrote it to follow Draco and Hermione's relationship.

- 'We always rise.' had such a huge impact on me, 'a phoenix from the ashes'.

- 'A reluctant hero is a hero still.'

- "A boy so steeped in sun," she murmured, reaching out for his hand, and only then did he realise that she was the brilliant light upon which he gazed. "Nevermind; I will be your eyes in the darkness, and teach you to see."

- "Thank you," he said, though gratitude did not come easily, and had never been taught. "You are like live armour to my heart; you keep the fear off me."

There are numerous other quotes that I really loved, and which I won't list lest I actually ruin it for those who are reading the review before reading the story. I loved Luna and how mysterious and eccentric she seemed, it was like reading a more mature version of the Luna we see in the actual HP series.

And, don't get me started on how amazing THEODORE NOTT was. He was like a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dystopian AU fan fiction. He made me laugh and I really loved to read a Dramione fan fiction that was mixed with 'Theo x Harry'. I wish I could've read more of this Theo.
